Lagerquist Gallery is holding a silent auction on January 31st to benefit the orphans of the Morning Star Camp in Zimbabwe.  From previous auctions, Lagerquist has made it possible to feed over 350 orphans, twice a week, possible for a two year period.  The caregivers of these chidren are now teaching them how to grow their own food to help feed themselves.  The dream for Morning Star is to have actual huts or buildings for these orphans to live in and be supervised by adults.  Many of these children have AIDS and walk miles twice weekly to obtain food  The auction will take place between 5 and 8pm.  Melanie and many other artists represented by Lagerquist have donated paintings to be auctioned off during the event.  All proceeds go to the Morning Star Camp.
