Children's Beginning Drawing - Spring 2010
This 12 week beginning drawing course is designed for elementary-age students. We will explore the foundational principles of classical realism. Students will learn through contour drawing exercises, spacial recognition exercises, still-life drawing, and modeling light/shadow. The focus of this course is learning to see, because this is the most fundamental principle in learning how to draw. Students will work with pencil and vine charcoal on Canson paper (supplies provided by the teacher). Course cost is $60 monthly (for three consecutive months), and there is a $10 supply fee per semester. Class size is limited to six students.
Children’s Beginning Drawing will meet Wednesday afternoons February 3rd through April 28th from 3 - 4:30pm. There will be no class held on April 7th. All classes will be held at the Muéo Arts Studio.
